A Good Night's Sleep

Getting a good night's sleep is one of the best ways to take of ourself. The human body needs at least eight hours of sleep every night. Without it, we might feel tired, sore, and lacking in energy. Without enough sleep, our body is weak, our mind cannot concentrate on the work, and our memory is not effective.

Studies have shown that students are able to remember more information when they get eight hours per night of sleep. Nutritious food and daily exercise are also important to our health. But if we are feelimg irritable during the day or having trouble concentrating, it could be that we just need more sleep.

Stress in Teenagers

Teenagers today often have a lot of stress. The most common cause is probably schoolwork. The many exams and daily homework assignments are very stressful for some students.Personal relationships are another stress for young people. Finally, peer pressure can also cause stress among teenagers.

I release the pressure with exercises like jogging and swimming. Next, if my proplem is serious, I talk to someone about my worries. I also participate in extracurricular activities, and I try to help others. Listening music always calms me. Although my life is stressful, I still make it enjoyable.

The Movie

In Friday morning, my friend and I went to VieShow Cinemas Taipei Hsing Yi to see the movie, Angels and Demons.

Angels and Demons is a movie about religion and science, so it was filled with suspense and mystery.

I think it was better than The Da Vinci Code because Angels and Demons was not boring at all.

The following is about this movie.

The leading role were Tom Hanks, Ewan McGregor, Ayelet Zurer, Stellan Skarsgard, Pierfrancesco Favino, Nikolaj Lie Kaas, and Armin Mueller-Stahl and the director was Ron Howard.

When Robert Langdon(Tom Hanks) discovers evidence of the resurgence of an ancient secret brotherhood known as the Illuminati -- the most powerful underground organization in history -- he also faces a deadly threat to the existence of the secret organization's most despised enemy: the Catholic Church. When Langdon learns that the clock is ticking on an unstoppable Illuminati time bomb, he jets to Rome, where he joins forces with Vittoria Vetra(Ayelet Zurer), a beautiful and enigmatic Italian scientist. Embarking on a nonstop hunt through sealed crypts, dangerous catacombs, deserted cathedrals and even to the heart of the most secretive vault on earth, Langdon and Vetra will follow a 400-year-old trail of ancient symbols that mark the Vatican's only hope for survival.

The Dragon Boat Festival

The Dragon Boat Festival is traditionally celebrated on the fifth day of the fifth month on the lunar calendar.

The Dragon Boat Festival is remembered the death of the famous Chinese pote,Qu Yuan.

Qu Yuan drowned himself into the Milo River because the intrigues of his rivals exerted enough ill influence on the King that Qu Yuan soon found himself in disfavor.

When it was known that Qu Yuan had been lost to the river the local people began the tradition of throwing the cooked rice which wrapped in bamboo leaves into the river for their lost hero.

The local people began throwing the cooked rice into the river to feed the fishes in hope that Qu Yuan’s body would be spared.

The cooked rice wrapped in bamboo leaves later came to be known as rice dumpling.

Lakers Finish Off Nuggets

Today I got up early for NBA games.

At nine o'clock a.m, the Game 6 which was Lakers v.s Nuggets was beginning and I watched the television relay on time.

The first section finished, Lakers was leading.

I didn't watch the second section and the third section because I dozed off in the moment.

It was a pity that I didn't watch the most important parts.

When I waked up again, the game was in the middle of the final section.

The final section was spledid because the players worked hard and spectators were exciting for the game.

Of course, including me.

Finally, Lakers finished off Nuggets and made return trip to the Finals.

My favorite book

My favorite book is Robinson Crusoe.

The novel is the story of a man, Robinsin Crusoe, who spends many years of his life on a tropical island after being shipwrecked.

I have benefited a lot from this book.

For example, I have learned that no matter what situation I am in, I should display courage, kindness, friendship, and wisdom, just as Robinsin Crusoe does.

It is these qualities that help him to survive.

No doubt, this is a book worth reading again and again.

The benefits of reading

Reading brings me many.

By reading, I can constantly enrich my knowledge and keep up with the times.

Reading can also expand my horizons.

I can experience things that happened in faraway places to people I don't personally know, and image things that might happen in the future.

But above all, reading changes my temperament and turns me into cultured people.

Therefore, it is no wonder that reading benefits those who love to read.
